Frequently asked questions
Choosing a machine
How do I know what size mower I need?
As a rough guide: under a quarter of an acre, a walk-behind mower is usually enough. Between a quarter acre and an acre, a self-propelled model saves a lot of effort, particularly on slopes. Above an acre, a ride-on or zero-turn will cut the job down considerably. If your ground has lots of trees, beds or awkward corners, a zero-turn is worth the extra over a straight ride-on because of how tightly it turns.
Petrol or battery?
Battery machines are quieter, start instantly and need almost no maintenance, which suits smaller and mid-sized gardens. Petrol still has the advantage on long runtimes and heavy, wet grass. For hedge trimmers and leaf blowers, battery is the sensible default for most people.
What is the difference between a zero-turn and a ride-on?
A ride-on steers like a small tractor and needs room to turn around. A zero-turn pivots on the spot, so it can cut right around obstacles without leaving uncut patches to come back to. Zero-turns are faster on open ground; ride-ons are often easier for a first-time user.
Orders and delivery
How do I place an order?
Add items to your cart and check out. You will get a confirmation email straight away with your order number — keep it, as it makes any follow-up much quicker.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, if it has not shipped yet. Email support@koiboni.com with your order number as soon as possible. Once an item is dispatched it has to be handled as a return instead. Full detail is on our Order Cancellation Policy page.
How do I track my order?
Use the tracking number in your dispatch email on our Track Your Order page. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to start showing movement after dispatch.
Returns and warranty
What is your returns policy?
See our Refund Policy for the full terms, including the return window and the condition items need to be in.
Are the machines covered by a warranty?
Yes. Cover varies by product and manufacturer — the terms are set out on our Warranty Policy page.
My machine will not start. What should I do?
On petrol machines, check fuel level and freshness first (fuel older than around 30 days is a common culprit), then the spark plug and air filter. On battery machines, confirm the battery is fully charged and properly seated. If none of that helps, email us the model name and a description of what happens when you try to start it.
Payment
Which payment methods do you accept?
Accepted methods are shown at checkout. Details of how payments are handled are on our Payment Policy page.
